My name is Katrin Gulbis-Vekmane.

I have a family and a job. I believe that every person’s life consists of several stages, and I have defined mine as follows: investing in myself – by studying and gaining work experience in youth; investing in my family – by raising and educating children; and investing in society – the footprint I leave for future generations and the world.

Digital Aģe is my contribution to Skulte and the Limbaži region, where I spent my carefree and wonderful childhood summers and school holidays.

Did you know that Aģe is the most researched river in Latvia?
Did you know that Aģe is a border river between the Livonian Metsapole and Turaida tribes?
Did you know that you should not throw garden waste or so-called organic waste on the banks of the Aģe?

I am an enthusiast of digitalization and artificial intelligence tools, and I know they bring great benefits and faster development for all of us. We just need to know how to use them. Microsoft’s AI tool Copilot was my companion, helping me learn and understand things I previously knew nothing about – like interpreting scientists’ chemical analysis reports in Excel or creating QR codes.

In addition to artificial intelligence, natural human input is always needed, and I am deeply grateful to the friends listed below for their time and knowledge contributions!

Come and take part in Latvia’s first digital river project!
And if you’d like to talk about Digital Aģe or Microsoft Copilot – send a message via the contact section!
